What you'll learn
The Digital Ecosystem
The Digital Ecosystem
Digital marketing operates through interconnected platforms, channels, algorithms, and data flows. You’ll examine how traffic is generated, captured, measured, and acted on, and how decisions in one area directly affect performance elsewhere.
Audience + Intent
Audience + Intent
Learn how audience behaviour, intent, and context shape digital outcomes. You’ll work with real buying signals, decision moments, and expectations rather than relying on surface-level demographics or assumptions.
Channels + Trade-Offs
Channels + Trade-Offs
Each channel plays a different role. You’ll learn how search, social, email, content, and paid media are typically used in practice, where overlap causes waste, and how to make informed trade-offs when time, budget, or capability is constrained.
Content + Purpose
Content + Purpose
Content only matters when it serves a clear function. You’ll learn how to assess content based on audience need, channel role, and commercial value, and how to distinguish between content that drives action and content that simply fills space.
Measurement + Signals
Measurement + Signals
Digital platforms generate large volumes of data, but not all of it is useful. You’ll learn how to interpret performance signals, understand attribution limits, and focus on metrics that meaningfully inform decisions rather than distract from them.
Planning + Prioritisation
Planning + Prioritisation
Bring everything together into a clear, prioritised plan. You’ll learn how to sequence digital activity, set realistic expectations, and decide what to focus on now, next, and later, using a real or simulated business as the basis for learning and assessment.
Decisions + Rationales
Decisions + Rationales
Digital decisions often need to be justified internally. You’ll learn how to explain your reasoning clearly, communicate trade-offs, and present decisions in a way that builds trust with stakeholders and employers.
